Job summary
Opportunity for a Cost Estimator to join our clients project based in Lagos, Nigeria, successful candidate will work a 8×2 rotation, ongoing contract. Cost Estimator will be responsible for Assisting and advising Project Manager and Project/Lead Engineers in relation to cost estimates.
Main Job Responsibilities:
*Coordinate cost estimating activity and input from various disciplines and departments
*Compiles, checks and benchmarks cost estimation data
*Estimate the project cost based on Bill of materials, labor cost, and project specification to express the most representative cost estimate.
*Collect and update market price data of materials, equipment, and manpower to be used in the cost estimate.
*Analyze project cost estimate of the project based on economic parameters.
*Perform sensitivity analysis on the estimates and cash flow forecasts to determine cash requirements and potential problem areas and corrective action to be taken
Skills / Qualifications:
*Bachelors degree in Engineering
*9 Years of related experience
*5 years working experiences in the cost control and estimating of major oil field, petrochemical, or oil and gas handling projects
*Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including all Microsoft Office products.
