Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD): Nigeria Job: NGO Vacancy Recruitment for Country Representative

CAFOD is the official international development and relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. CAFOD’s work in Africa includes programmes with partner organisations in West Africa to combat poverty and injustice and to build a strong and dynamic civil society.
The Country Representative will develop and manage CAFOD’s development and humanitarian programme in Nigeria. The scope of the post falls in to the following broad categories:

* Programme Overview and Development
* Management and Administration: Managing the country office, leading and managing a team of staff.
* Representation: Ensuring that CAFOD is effectively represented to key local and international players and networks, including the local church, DFID and other institutional donors.
* Communication and Learning

You will have international experience in overseas programmes at a managerial level, with the ability to work in difficult environments and under pressure. You will need to be fluent in English and confident in dealing with local organisations in an empowering way, including Church and NGO partners. This is an accompanied post based in Jos, Nigeria.
